1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the saora.ie website and, once your account is approved, the SAORA platform: the back office at app.saora.ie, the SAORA POS and Waiter applications, and related services (together, “the Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of the business you represent.
2. Accounts and approval
You must provide accurate business details at signup. Every new account is reviewed before activation, and we may decline or suspend accounts that present fraud, abuse or legal risk. You are responsible for the people you invite: keep staff PINs and sign-in credentials confidential and remove access for people who leave.
3. Subscriptions and payment
The Service is sold as a subscription, priced per branch per month as published at saora.ie/pricing, exclusive of VAT. Monthly subscriptions roll month to month and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the billing period. Yearly subscriptions are billed upfront. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice, never mid-term for an already-paid period.
4. Card payments
Card acquiring is provided by our regulated payment provider under your own agreement with them. SAORA is not a party to that agreement and does not hold your settlement funds.
5. Your data
Business data you create in the Service (sales, products, stock, staff and customer records) is yours. We process it only to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data your business collects, including your own customers’ consent where required.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service to break the law, including tax and consumer protection law;
- attempt to access another business’s data or probe the platform’s security;
- resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us;
- interfere with the operation of the Service or impose unreasonable load on it.
7. Availability and offline operation
We work to keep the cloud service continuously available but do not promise uninterrupted operation. The POS is designed to keep trading through connectivity loss and to synchronise when the connection returns. You are responsible for your own hardware, network and operating environment.
8. Software updates
We ship improvements continuously. POS updates download in the background and install only when a person at the counter chooses to restart. We may require updates where needed for security or integrity of the platform.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SAORA’s total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid for that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data caused by factors outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Irish law.
10. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time from your account or by writing to info@saora.ie. After cancellation we will, on request, provide an export of your business data in a common machine-readable format, and then delete or anonymise personal data in line with our retention obligations.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have exclusive jurisdiction. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest remain in force. The latest version of these terms always lives at this address.
